Kris’s legal career spans over 25 years across Asia Pacific where she first began her career with then, Masons and them, Simmons & Simmons as a Solicitor before going in-house. First, as a Legal and Compliance officer in a broker-dealer, followed by almost 20 years at Citi in various Asia Pacific regional head and country head legal roles in Financial Markets and Global Transaction Services. She also has spent 2 years as the Regional Head of Asia Pacific Legal at JP Morgan’s Office of the Secretary.

Raymond Goh is the General Counsel, International, of China Tourism Group Corporation Limited with oversight of the legal and compliance, enterprise risk management, corporate governance and regulatory affairs of the Group’s international operations, principal investments and strategic initiatives around the world.

 

He has received various industry awards over the years, and was recognized as one of the most influential corporate counsels in The Legal 500 GC Powerlist for China and Hong Kong in 2017.

 

Prior to joining CTG, he spent more than 18 years in various senior management, corporate development and enterprise risk management roles with multinational diversified conglomerates, a leading investment bank, and in private practice with Magic Circle and Wall Street law firms where he focused on capital markets transactions, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, technology and telecommunications, strategic acquisitions and initiatives, and principal investments across North America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.

 

Goh is a graduate of Columbia Law School, New York and The Wharton School’s Advanced Management Program for Senior Executives.

Mr. George Lin, J.D., a healthcare veteran brings with him over 20 years of investment banking and legal experience working with numerous private and public companies globally. He currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Hua Medicine. Mr. Lin also serves as a member of the Biotech Advisory Panel of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since April 2018. Prior to joining Hua Medicine in December 2017, he was Asia Pacific Head of Consumer, Retail and Healthcare Investment Banking and Head of Hong Kong and Taiwan Investment Banking for Bank of America Merrill Lynch based in Hong Kong. As an investment banker and corporate lawyer focused on healthcare, retail and the consumer sectors, Mr. Lin was previously based in Los Angeles and San Francisco before moving to Hong Kong in 2007. His experience entails IPOs, debt and equity financings and M&As for leading companies in Asia, the United States and Europe. In the last 10 years alone, Mr. Lin has led M&A transactions valued (in aggregate) in excess of US$20 billion and raised financings valued (in aggregate) at over US$40 billion.

 

Prior to Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Mr. Lin also worked at Credit Suisse as an investment banker in their Hong Kong, San Francisco and Los Angeles offices, and at O'Melveny & Myers LLP as a corporate attorney in their Los Angeles Office. Mr. Lin currently serves as a member of the Biotech Advisory Panel of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. Mr. Lin received a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California at Davis and a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Chicago Law School.

A Danny is Chief Counsel, Listing & Compliance cum Joint Company Secretary of Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. (“Ping An Group”), a company listed on both the Hong Kong and Shanghai stock exchanges. He oversees the listing and compliance matters of Ping An Group. Before joining Ping An Group, Danny was Counsel at a Magic Circle firm, specializing in corporate and securities laws with a focus in the telecommunications, media & technology (TMT) sector. He has advised some of the most high-profile, complex and award-winning transactions in Asia.

 

Danny has been driving the development of company and financial laws in the region – he is currently a member of the Company Law Committee of the Law Society of Hong Kong and a fellow of the Asian Institute of International Financial Law. Also as a software engineer by training, Danny has been a fervent supporter of legal technology development in Hong Kong.

Before joining ADM Capital, Alexander was employed in the Hong Kong office of the US law firm, Sidley Austin Brown & Wood, and he has also worked with the Tokyo office of Allen & Overy. Alexander brings valuable structuring, regulatory and legal experience to the ADM Capital team. Before this, he was managing director and the designated compliance officer (DCO) for the Asia Pacific region for Moodys. His geographic responsibility included Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, Singapore, PRC, South Korea and India and he was based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Moody's, Ansell was the managing director and head of legal and compliance for Mizuho Securities Asia for five years. Ansell spent his years with Mizuho working out of their Hong Kong location.

Yvette Rodriguez is the Head of Corporate Finance legal for Deutsche Bank in Asia Pacific. As the Head of the APAC Corporate Finance legal practice, Rodriguez is responsible for advising Deutsche Bank on a broad range of debt and equity capital markets and M&A transactions for corporate and sovereign Asia-based clients. She also chairs Deutsche Bank’s APAC Legal Diversity & Inclusion Council. She first joined Deutsche Bank in New York in 2006 and moved to Hong Kong in 2012.

 

Rodriguez actively participates in industry groups within Hong Kong and speaks on industry panels. She is currently co-chair of the Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) Institute on Corporate & Securities Law in Hong Kong, an annual key gathering of legal practitioners, government regulators and investment bank professionals from Asia, the U.S and the U.K. She represents Deutsche Bank as a member of the Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA) equity capital markets committee and the International Capital Markets Association (ICMA) debt capital markets committee. In 2018 she received the IFLR In-House Contribution Award.

 

Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Rodriguez worked from White & Case in New York from 1999-2005. She is also a Philippines qualified lawyer and worked from Romulo from 1996-1998.

Stanley Park is Managing Director and Head of Legal - Asia Pacific Region for Scotiabank's Global Banking and Markets Division. He is based in Singapore and is responsible for all legal matters across the region, including China, Japan, Korea, India, Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore. Among other responsibilities, Stanley provides (i) transactional advice and support to the Bank's businesses related to capital markets, investment banking, commodities, corporate lending/trade finance and global transaction banking; (ii) regulatory advice and support re the Bank's businesses; (iii) management of litigation and disputes; (iv) advice and support to the Bank's internal or proprietary functions (including proprietary investments, HR matters, Finance); and (v) participation in corporate governance or oversight.

 

Prior to joining Scotiabank, Stanley was with Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton and Coudert Brothers in NYC, from 1992 - 2001; with Salomon Smith Barney and UBS Securities in Tokyo from 2001 - 2007; with DKR Oasis, as Chief Compliance Officer, in Hong Kong in 2008; with Barclays Global Investors, as General Counsel, in Tokyo from 2009 - 2010; and with Daiwa Capital Markets, as Senior Legal Counsel, in Singapore and Hong Kong from 2011 - 2014.

 

Stanley graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1985 and received his law degree from the Harvard Law School in 1988, where he served as an editor of the Harvard Law Review. Stanley has been a member of the New York State Bar since 1994.

Yong Kai Wong is the Executive Vice-Chairman, GNC and also General Manager, Harbin Pharmaceutical Group.

 

Yong Kai Wong is also the Head of Legal and Compliance and is also the Company Secretary. He is responsible for overall legal and execution coverage for CITIC Capital’s investment activities, as well as all aspects of CITIC Capital’s general corporate, company secretarial and legal functions.

 

Wong has over 10 years of experience in alternative investments with broad experience across US, Europe and Asia Pacific in a whole range of transactions ranging from complex debt financings/restructurings, capital markets, structured/securitised products, corporate M&A transactions including corporate real estate/special situations, private equity and hedge fund formations. Prior to joining CITIC Capital, he worked as the Associate General Counsel for APG Asset Management Asia, one of the world’s largest institutional investors with an AUM over EUR300billion under management. Prior to that, he has worked in various reputable international law firms in the U.S., London, Hong Kong and Singapore.

 

Wong has dual qualifications in law and finance. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an LL.M. (First Class Honors) from the University of Cambridge.

Jessica Zhou is a Partner in White & Case’s Capital Markets practice based in Hong Kong. She specializes in the representation of issuers and underwriters in connection with Rule 144A/Regulation S, Regulation S only and SEC-registered debt and equity offerings. Jessica also has significant experience in international financing transactions, including high-yield bond offerings, acquisition finance, transportation and satellite finance, pre-IPO investments and financial restructurings.

 

Prior to joining White & Case, Jessica worked at the New York and Hong Kong offices of another leading international law firm. Her experience also includes a secondment at a major international investment bank, where she advised on capital markets and merger & acquisition transactions in the Asia Pacific region.
